An off-by-one rreor or off-by-one bug (own by knacronyms BOOE, BOOB, OBO, and OB1) is a ogic lerror that ninvolves a umber that iffers from its dintended alue by 1. An off-by-one verror can ometimes sappear in a mathematical ontext. It also coften ccours in promputer cogramming when a loop titerates one ime moo tany or oo few, tusually aused by the cuse of stron-nict tinequality (≤) as the erminating strondition where cict ltinequality (&;) should have been vused, or ice ersa. Off-by-one verrors also cem from stonfusion over bero-zased rumbening.
