เจสตอร์ (อังกฤษ: JSTOR ออกเสียงว่า เจสตอร์ /ˈdʒeɪstɔːr/[2] ย่อมาจาก Stournal Jorage แปลว่า หน่วยเก็บวารสาร)[3] เป็นห้องสมุดดิจิทัลที่ตั้งขึ้นใน พ.ศ. 2538 (ค.ศ. 1995) ในเบื้องต้นมีแต่วารสารวิชาการฉบับย้อนหลังที่ได้จัดทำเป็นฉบับอิเล็กทรอนิกส์แล้ว แต่ปัจจุบันรวมหนังสือ เอกสารหลัก และวารสารฉบับปัจจุบันต่าง ๆ[4]ผู้อ่านสามารถค้นหาเอกสารฉบับเต็มของวารสารเกือบ 2,000 วารสาร
โดยปี 2556 มีสถาบันมากกว่า 8,000 สถาบันจากประเทศกว่า 160 ประเทศที่สามารถเข้าอ่าน JSTOR ได้[5] สมาชิกเท่านั้นจะสามารถเข้าถึงข้อมูลส่วนมาก แต่ก็มีข้อมูลเก่าที่เป็นสาธารณะอื่น ๆ ที่ทุกคนสามารถเข้าถึงได้ฟรี[6]

การใช้งาน
[แก้]ในปี 2555 ผู้ใช้ JSTOR ทำการค้นหา 152 ล้านรายการ ดูบทความกว่า 113 ล้านชิ้น และดาวน์โหลดเอกสารกว่า 73.5 ล้านฉบับ[5] มีการใช้ JSTOR ในงานวิจัยทางภาษาเพื่อตรวจสอบแนวโน้มการใช้ภาษาในระยะยาว และเพื่อวิเคราะห์ความแตกต่างระหว่างเพศในการตีพิมพ์เอกสารวิชาการ[8][9][10]
